What is a head cutter?
Head cutters are nail clippers with a moon-shaped cutting head.
What are head cutters used for?
Head cutters are primarily used for curled or ingrown nails . The thin , fine tip allows for easy access under the nail, providing great leverage for easy removal.
What makes head cutters so special?
Head cutters are professional tools for every beautician and chiropodist and are also indispensable in medical foot care and one of the favorite tools of podiatrists .
Where are head cutters particularly used?
Especially toenails , which are naturally harder and thicker and often have more callus, are relatively easy to treat with a head cutter.
What models of head cutters does Excellent Solingen offer?
We offer 3 different standard models.
flame-tipped - classic "standard" head cutter with its two very finely tapered tips - for all possible applications
short tip - slightly smaller model, also suitable for fingernails due to shorter cutting length
a tip - especially for the corners, with this model you can specifically treat the corners without removing the rest of the nail
Why are head cutters not suitable for your application?
If you only want to cut nails, you should choose our standard models of nail clippers , as a head cutter can also have the following disadvantages :
- High risk of injury if used improperly, due to very fine tips that can easily injure the skin
- very sharp, you may cut more than you want because you underestimate the large cutting edge
- If you need less force or even more leverage, you need a translation pliers
Advantages :
- suitable for both toenails and fingernails
- extremely sharp
- small and compact for every trip
