What belongs in a good set?

  • Nail scissors or nail clipper – for shortening.
  • Nail file – for shaping and smoothing the edge.
  • Cuticle pusher or cuticle nipper – for the nail fold.
  • Tweezers – for splinters and fine hairs.
  • Nail nipper – in foot care sets, when the nails are firmer.

Larger sets add a corner lifter, a nail cleaner or a second file. More pieces do not automatically mean more benefit – what matters is that the instruments you actually use are good ones.

Case: leather, faux leather or vegan?

The case keeps the instruments in place and protects their tips – bent scissor and tweezer tips cannot be realigned reliably. Leather is durable and grows more beautiful over time, while faux leather and vegan materials are easier to care for and less sensitive to moisture.
