When is a head cutter not the right tool?

If you only want to trim nails, our standard models under nail nippers are the better choice, because a head cutter also has these drawbacks:

• high risk of injury if used incorrectly, as the very fine points cut into the skin easily
• very sharp - the long cutting edge is easy to underestimate, so you may cut more than intended
• if you need less hand force or even more leverage, choose a lever-action nipper
