What is a nail nipper used for?

The nail nipper is a care instrument for shortening and pre-shaping even firm nails on hands and feet. Its straight edge makes it particularly suitable for corner nails and for ingrown or brittle nails.

With a double cross spring, even hard toenails can be cut with little effort. The cutting edges are sharp, for an even cut.

A distinction is made between lap joint nippers, where both halves lie flat on each other at the joint, and box joint nippers, where one half passes through the other at the joint. Because of their shape, nail nippers suit right- and left-handed users alike.

Which version fits?

Depending on the leverage required, there are models with a screwed double spring (little effort) or a single spring (medium effort). A brushed, smooth surface ensures a secure grip. Professional models include head cutters and compound-action nippers.

Material

All Excellent nail nippers are made of high-grade rust-free surgical stainless steel, forged and 100 % sterilisable, anti-allergenic, nickel-free and rust-free.

Application and care

When cutting, the nails should not extend beyond the tips of the toes. It is advisable to soak the nails in warm water beforehand. A nail file is suitable for finishing.

Nail nippers should not come into contact with cleaning agents or lotions, as aggressive ingredients can attack the stainless steel. Store the nipper dry in a case and, if required, put a few drops of oil into the joint.

Warranty and service

On all nippers we grant a 1-year manufacturer's warranty and a free re-sharpening service within the warranty period.
