Beard hair is thicker and more wiry than head hair. Beard scissors are therefore shorter than hairdressing scissors – usually 9 to 14 cm – and very finely ground, so the hair is cut cleanly instead of being bent.
On length: Around 10 cm gives maximum control on stubble, moustache and outlines. Around 12 to 14 cm suits a full beard and longer hair, because the longer cut produces a more even line.
